Why would the barrel be bedded?

6 MOA is crazy inaccuracy. I can't believe it has anything to do with bedding. Especially when he never changed the previous full length bedding that shot well. I've had rifles with rotted out barrels that shoot more accurately than that. When I was much younger I hacked off the end of a barrel with a hacksaw, and despite putting bullets through the target sideways it was within 6 moa. If the crown was severely damaged, he would mention that. It's got to be a loose scope mount or broken scope. I can't see why we are even considering the bedding unless the issue was much more subtle or he was trying to improve on the previous moa level of accuracy.
