Why you "don't" want to buy a issc mk22!

I shot every type of 22lr thu her and she seemed to favour anything federal, value pack was the best next to american eagle. I did the washer between the bcg and the bolt stop and switched out the mk12 screw with a mk14. none of this helped. then it took a shAt on my heart when the bcg had a piece break off.

and yes its garbage, just a ###y paper weight.....................

Interesting to hear. So the bcg broke during operation correct? I imagine a casing got stuck and the bcg slammed against it causing that part to break?

Myself, I have never been sold on the washer mod and haven't bothered with it. Did you trim any coils in your mods?

Who did you buy it through? Have you spoken to your vendor? I imagine you should be sending it to the Canadian distributor and warranty centre, not back to Austria.

Hope this gets resolved for you as it would be a lot of money to have turn into a paper weight

ya it was a failure to eject where the spent casing got lodged between the chamber and the bcg snapping that piece and lodging that piece in between the bcg and the receiver. just a mess..... As for mods, I was going to trim back a few coils but i was hesitant to do so afraid that the warranty on the rifle would be void. Did it work for u? And yes Ive contacted the Canadian distributor and have been playing phone tag with them all week...... fun.

Ever seen this mod? little fancier than a washer. i got it in the mail about 2 days after my gun crapped out so i didn't even get to give it a go.

I had one, did t work out of the box, the stock cracked at the latch after few tries. Fortunately target sports replaced the rifle right away, and I was able to solve the light primer strike issues by replacing the BcG screws with the longer ones with locktite..

Im curious if the new issue ones come with this mod. I just got the Anschutz verson two weeks ago and it came with this mod already installed.

That silver block is now free floating..not screwed down. The cylindrical spring holder is held in place by an odd screw and the spring is also loose..

Obviously poor design and rushing it to market before working out all the bugs. My Anschutz was obviously designed on the same platform and luckily just came with the new quick fix.

Probably going to get to shoot her today...will let u know how it goes.

Never seen that mod before. It looks very much like jimdos anschutz though. Trimming the coils has worked great for me, but I have no idea what bearing it has for warranty purposes. I wonder if the washer mod messes around with clearances and could have contributed to your problem? From the looks of it, that spring based mod would have some give and would be less harsh on your bcg in an ejection failure scenario.

Is the first coil of your spring cracked ? in picture Left side --- small little bit small end of the coil spring

I've never seen that mod either. Looks interesting. Where did you get it from? As far as moving the washer, I'm conviced this is what sealed the deal for me, that and adding a washer in the trigger between part 78, and 77. Since I did those mods, I haven't had one single issue with it. I would consider those mods before cutting the FP spring, and go from there. They are reversable as well. I'm not going to defend this gun, as it was a PITA to get it running properly. I knew what I was getting into before I bought it, because I wanted the closest thing to a SCAR as I could find. Plus I didn't mind doing some work. Throughout the entire frusteration of doing a mod and it not working, I kept saying "I should have bought the 10/22", and even looked for one. Now that I have it running great, I can shoot it all day long and my groups are tighter that my buddy's SR22. So all in all for the price, the damn thing should work like mine does now, right out of the box. There are no excuses for it not to. Will I buy another ISSC product, likely not. That being said, this 22 has become tied for top place in my safe with my Colt Python. I never go to the range without either of them.

Now keep on them to get you a new BCG. Once that happens, we'll help you get that thing running right.

I contacted this Stafan Miere from issc and told him my issues with the riffle and he mailed it to me free of charge. mind u i dont know if it works or not because my rifle fukcered. u want it dude? give it a go and tell me if it works.

more importantly, where in Canada do we buy the Anschutz version?

Is it going to be any better.... Based on this! I'd say its the same situation as the sig version of the gsg 1911.

The ANSCHÜTZ MSR RX 22 model is a modern small-calibre, self-loading rifle with a .22 l.r. caliber. It contains a force-locking blowback action with a hammer lock. This weapons system made by German Sport Guns is well known, sophisticated and has been sold 150000 times.

From this picture it looks like most of the parts are still MIM.
