that looks like a heftier then usual bull barrel. am I right or is it just the perception it gives in the image taken? btw, what is that, doesn't ring true as a 10/22...597 maybe, or is it an R-55? something else entirely?

edit - of course, I refer to the finished product below, not the atrocity above! :rolleyes:
 
It's a stock sportster barrel sleeved in a 1" aluminum shroud. The muzzle end has been threaded and the barrel is tensioned against the receiver by a steel flanged nut at the end.

hehehe... funny thing is that I was thinking of doing the exact same thing but I was too lazy to follow through, i'm glad I held off...

It's a 597 impregnated in a b3 stock, it might look good if you fill up the rear.

Good work. The the fact you actually tried to do your own thing and the mag release shows your creativity.
