Wich fore end to buy?

Hi CGN

Looking for a fore end for my AR build.
I wanted one from S&J but there sold out.
Did like there price and, I was also going to buy there barrel.
Any recommendation on a brand?
I'm keeping budget in mind.
Was looking for a 10"- 12" rail fore end.
Nea fore ends any good. I like to buy canadian.

Wolverine has some DD on sale.

Personally, I don't like the way NEA rails clamp onto the barrel nut.

Why don't you like it? How do others mount FF rails?

The NEA rail mounts via tightening bolts on both sides of the rail or underside on the newer design (which is cleaner looking). I'm sure for all intended purposes it is secure and fully functional but cosmetically, I'm not a huge fan. DD rails lock in by anchoring both sides of the barrel nut.

Like I said, it's just a personal preference.

Their new rails clamp on the bottom, just like a half dozen other makers.

I like the Samson Evo handguard. Slim, light, and reasonably priced.

any other sugestions on lenght? its gonna be a 14.5" barrel probably from S&J.

Top rifle in the pic below has an 11" Samson Evo on a 14.5" barrel. I wouldn't want shorter than a 9" on a 14.5", but you can go longer than 11" if you like. I'd probably go 12 or 13" if I bought another one.

I got it from Fab Sports a couple of years ago.

I believe Samson will ship directly to Canada.
