hi guys

I looking to buy a new 1911 and i was wondering wich one to take between the STI RANGER II or the KIMBER PRO CARRY ll. ??????

can you help me to make the good decision.

Both are quality pieces, and realistically it comes down to the features you want and can afford and the final price you pay for the gun.

I know a few people with STI's and love them. Also, check out the SW1911PD Tactical Rail Series...it's pretty nice.
 
STI Ranger has a steel frame and Kimber ProCarry has a light alloy aluminum frame
I'm a big fan of Kimber Government, but I'd go for a steel STI Ranger frame vs Kimber alloy

I'm holding out for the Kimber super ultra custom carry elite tactical combat warrior crimson pro myself. Got to have the best possible defense against targets, paper cuts are a real #####! And until they make that pistol, my Norc will have to do.
 
i was gonna go for a night elf tactical custom ultra pro carry stealth signature edition, but it was gonna take them too long to print all that #### on the slide, so i just went with the day bunny standard, AKA Norc.

You forgot the "II" (LOL) - Kimber has had quality control problems, STI hasn't to the same extent, also Kimber has the dumb ass firing pin safety tied into the grip safety, STI doesn't have the firing pin safety and it's grip safety is, well...a grip safety.
 
i know we can have the STI ranger II in 9mm and i was thinking about that options ??
i already have a 45 acp , maybe it woulb be great to shoot 1911 in 9mm

did anyone try a 1911 in 9mm ?

A buddy of mine has one of those STI Rangers II in 9mm, he loves it.

Also, on a side note, carry guns may come with allow frame to reduce overal weight. For an active shooter, steel framed gun is a better choice; if you plan on shooting 10s and 100s of thousands of rounds thru your gun.
