ohhhh must you feel lonely!

I live in the middle of 25,000 square miles of lonely. To me, it's a way of life - - - - and I love it!

I have a 30 year old Tikka that has digested tons of ammo, and still shoots tighter than I can hold it. It don't have to look good to BE good. ;) My wife insisted on making it her own, so I shaved the stock down, and it is her rifle now. If I could find another one full length, I'd likely buy it.

With that rifle I have shot matches, moose, muskrats, grouse, gophers, deer -- you name it. It has one of the nicest factory triggers I have seen. I never touched it.

But if a fella wants to make a fashion statement in the field, I guess he needs something a little flashier, and if he wants to have friends with him when he's hunting, he had better get him a fashionable Sako that makes him look good. It would take more than a fancy rifle to make me look good anyway, and I'd sooner be by myself -- lonely -- in the field. :D

The Sako has three bolt lugs instead of two on the Tikka... the Sako has tapered dovetail mounts... the balance and feel is better on the Sako... I would rather beat a Tikka up if I was doing as lot of varmint hunting... But the Sako is the nicer rifle.

Even though they're both manufactured at the same plant. The Sako's better built and will hold its value longer, and given the fact that The Canuck states " Roughly the same price", you get more bang for your bucks.;)
