Dig around online.
There are at least two guys that are convinced that they are the ONLY one that has the right to make new Wickliffe rifles, and they have had some running skirmishes through a couple different forums.
Both are charging stupid money for what they are putting on offer, but one, at least, has parts in hand, rather than taking your money, and then having a machinist make the parts on a onesey-twosey basis.
In any case, there are some pretty unsupportable claims being made.
Shop used, if you want one. I don't. Too homely for me. Check out the blue book values, and tread carefully.
The design is based loosely on the design of the Stevens Model 44 1/2, but bulked up. Mostly in all the wrong (homely) places. The Stevens was designed to compete with the Winchester 1885, and was a true falling block, unlike the Model 44.
