Hi all,

My wife just got her rpal and wants her first gun to be a pink pistol. I see lots of photos online but they seem to be all for sale in the States.

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

My good friend who does Duracoat can do any gun you want, just did a SKS in pink with a digitzes pink stock! Just PM me and i will hook you up, cheers Dale Z!

Just make sure if you guys want to shoot IPSC that you know that she won't be able to shoot production if it is an after market colouring job. If it is a production pistol on the approved list that comes that way from the manufacturer, then she should be fine. I believe the M&P is the best choice once you take this into account, and I think it comes from S&W in pink. If IPSC production isn't an issue, then colour a Glock 19.

Seriously? Change the color of your gun and it disqualifies it from use in IPSC? WTF?

Pick a gun then pick a color!

YEP!

The intent of this rule was to avoid adding distinctive stripes or other visual cues to the gun to aid in obtaining a faster sight picture.

Granted that in this case the rule would be pointless since likely the whole gun would be painted pink. But consider what the effect would be if the owner put only a pink stripe down the top centerline of the slide. This is something that could be conceivably used to aid with aiming. Hence the rule being an all encompassing "no non stock finishes".

Alternatively, one could buy a "normal" gun (stainless or blued) and get a set of pink grips for it. Seriously, the idea of selecting a firearm based on its colour is a very bad idea.

My wife shoots a CZ Shadow in IPSC Production, and her colour is blue. She's got the blue thin aluminum grips for it, the blue outer belt, and 5 blue mag pouches. It might be IPSC, but to her colour coordination is still important! ha ha

it would get confused with a training gun, don't do it!! I'm sure the CGC would find a way to make this a women's rights issue...

I think I'll use the pink gun tactic to get my wife into shooting. Great idea, Thanks!
