After being around my precision rifles, I wouldn't have gotten away with giving her a more "budget friendly" build.

In fact, her original build was going to have a Bighorn TL3 action. When we got the barreled action back from the gunsmith, my wife absolutely hated how the TL3 felt, especially when she played with it next to my Mausingfield. She particularly hated the slop in the bolt of the TL3 and how easy it was to bind. So yup, she's spoiled haha.

So far she really likes the Lone Peak Fuzion action. It still needs to break in, so it's not as smooth as my broken in IonBonded Defiance (yet). It is incredibly smooth so far, and I only expect it to get smoother. And while not heavy by any means, I also expect the bolt lift to lighten up some with the action breaking in. No bolt slop, but I know from others that this action eats dirt like a champ (unlike a Defiance). For a push feed 2 lug action, I think the Fuzion would be tough to beat.

Overall I'm really proud and happy how this build turned out.

I chose the pattern, which is essentially a Swedish M90 camo pattern, as well as chose the colors, and Custom Gun Coatings made it happen.

As far as I know, the wife's KRG Bravo chassis is the only thing in existence which has been painted in that pattern with those specific colors.

I didn't get it bedded. The wife and I took it out today to get it sighted in, immediately after that the wife wanted to shoot steel out to ~500 yards, so never shot it for groups.

Next time out I'll grab the wife's rifle and shoot some groups with it, see how it does.

Thanks! All prices below in USD:

- barreled action with gunsmithing work was around ~$2,200
- KRG bravo was $358.90
- Misc Bravo accessories $240 (including ARCA spigot and rail)
- Custom paint job $250
- ARC M10 Rings $180
- BnA Tacsport trigger $255

Total = ~$3500 USD.

I had the scope and bipod laying around from previous projects, but if you were to add those to the total (for what I bought those components for ~6 years ago) it would be around ~$7000 USD total.

I'm really happy with how the paint job turned out! I told Custom Gun Coatings what pattern I wanted (Swedish M90 camo), and the colors (to make it "girly" for the wife), and waited to see how it turned out. I've never seen something similar, so I was very curious (and slightly nervous!) on how it was going to turn out. I'm very happy with the result, and most importantly, so is the wife!

I'm really impressed with the KRG Bravo as a budget chassis. This thing certainly punches above it's weight class. The ergos are great, and you can "dress it up" with all the great accessories available from KRG.

The chassis is very light, and a lighter profile barrel certainly suits it better. This rifle has a 24" Heavy Palma barrel, and it's a bit front heavy for this chassis. KRG is coming out with some weighted butt spacers, which I will install to make it balance out better.

Perhaps her next barrel will be a carbon barrel, or a shorter (~20-22") barrel in something like a .22BRA.
 
KRG Bravo is the first chassis I like. Where do you get em in Canada ?
