Wild Pigs North of Edmonton

Does anyone know of any land owners having problems with pigs on their land?

or

Does anyone know what township these things are in - I am sure they are moving all over though...

Any help on where I can go drop one would be great!

Only place I've seen tracks was south and west of Nojack. Other posters have talked about this here, there is another thread about the "ear bounty" somewhere. - dan

Contact the office for Lac St Anne County, to the northwest of the city. IIRC they had the bounty program in place.

Seems like there's alot more talk of pigs than actual pigs. Alot of people have asked,here and elsewhere, about wild boar in Alberta, and very few people have reports of actually seeing any,much less shooting them. From what I understand there were more a few years back,but got shot up prettty quick and aren't seen much anymore. I've personally seen only one,across a field just east of Edmonton.

I called the other day and they don'y give land owners names - you have to find a spot yourself. Unless I get talking with someone that has a problem and knows they are there - I think it is rather silly that I just head north to go knock on doors...

You could always try an Ad in the local papers, or a couple of fliers posted in the local Co-Op feed store.

Boars....

Seen a couple of pigs while I was out for deer walking back to the truck, crown land about 10 mins after legal shooting time, didn;t know what they were at first, they came out to a watering hole, no I didn,t shoot, once they knew I was around they dashed.

Man, it sucks to be you guys sometimes.
Doesn't matter what time of day or night it is, if we see pigs here in Oz we shoot them.
In fact I'm hoping to bag some next week when I head out for 5 days to a property 60 miles north up in the hills.
