To Shoot with WRAS you will need to become a club member, there is a yearly fee of $60 to join the WRAS club and each match you shoot is an additional $60
These fees are used for club insurance, props, targets and other various supplies etc.
For the August 17th match
Timings
8:00 to 9:00 props /targets setup, note shooters are expected to assist with target/prop setup and teardown at the end of the match
9:00 to 10:00 shooter registration and match briefing
10:15 to 10:30 first rounds down range
8 Stages
Max Distance: 800 Meters
Round Count: 80-90 (100 should be more than enough to get you through the day)
WRAS is an outlaw precision rifle club, meaning we aren’t affiliated with the NRL or PRS but we follow their rules and stage designs pretty closely so we ask that shooters familiarize themselves with the PRS rulebook.
Shooters need to have a good zero on their rifle and a scope with ballistic drop markings and/or adjustable turrets to compensate for bullet drop at range. Ballistic data, DOPE, for your rifle/cartridge should be known prior to match.
Various support bags, tripods etc are used by shooters in these types of matches, the clubs regular shooters pretty much have it all and are more than willing to share so don’t let a lack of pillows J hold you back from attending.
As well, as with all shooting sports, eye and ear protection is mandatory for shooters.
Please check out our webpage at www.wrasalberta.com or the Wild Rose Action Shooters Facebook page for club details and photos of previous matches.
Hope to see you out there !
