The next Wild Rose Action Shooters (WRAS) Precision Rifle match is set for September 21st, 2019 at the Edson Fish and Game Association’s Longest Mile range. Directions will be provided to registered shooters.

Registration for the match is through Practiscore (www.practiscore.com) And is currently open until September 15 @ 8pm. Times are local to America/Edmonton timezone. Walk ons are welcome, to assist us with set up we do encourage the use of Practiscore.

When using Practiscore search “Wild Rose Action Shooters” exactly like this, don’t join the account that is all lower case.

Registering through Practiscore is important! Match information/updates are sent through it and match organizers use it to gauge participation, if there aren’t enough shooters registered the match will be cancelled. If this occurs refunds will be issued.

To Shoot with WRAS you will need to become a club member, there is a yearly fee of $60 to join the WRAS club and each match you shoot is an additional $60

These fees are used for club insurance, props, targets and other various supplies etc.

For the September 21st match
Timings

8:00 to 9:00 props /targets setup, note shooters are expected to assist with target/prop setup and teardown at the end of the match

9:00 to 10:00 shooter registration and match briefing

10:15 to 10:30 first rounds down range

8 Stages
Max Distance: 1000 Meters
Round Count: 80-90 (100 should be more than enough to get you through the day)

WRAS is an outlaw precision rifle club, meaning we aren’t affiliated with the NRL or PRS but we follow their rules and stage designs pretty closely so we ask that shooters familiarize themselves with the PRS rulebook.

Shooters need to have a good zero on their rifle and a scope with ballistic drop markings and/or adjustable turrets to compensate for bullet drop at range. Ballistic data, DOPE, for your rifle/cartridge should be known prior to match.

Various support bags, tripods etc are used by shooters in these types of matches, the clubs regular shooters pretty much have it all and are more than willing to share so don’t let a lack of pillows hold you back from attending.

As well, as with all shooting sports, eye and ear protection is mandatory for shooters.

Please check out our webpage at www.wrasalberta.com or the Wild Rose Action Shooters Facebook page for club details and photos of previous matches.

So we have decided to do a little contest for the field optics tripod we are giving away at the Edson match! Since they have one mile available we thought we would use it. 10 bucks will get you 3 shots at the mile target, no limit to how many 3 shot opportunities you can buy. Each hit will give you a ticket. A first round hit gets you 3 tickets. If there are any hits, we will draw a lucky ticket to give away the tripod!

Study your wind calls!

Really looking forward to having more shooters join us in Edson!
We have 8 stages planned and a bonus 1 mile contest!
Registration is still open until Sept 15th 6PM.
If we can't make the minimum number of shooters, we will have to cancel the match.

Tell all your friends, tell the whole bunch.....

The Match on Saturday, September 21st is a go. If you have not registered, walk ons are welcome. See you all out on the range.

Thanks so much to Adam, Ken, Shawn, and anyone else who helped set up the match at Edson's Longest Mile range this past Saturday. Great group of guys who built a fun challenging COF. Everyone was so friendly, had a blast, will be back again.
