Wild Rose Steel Challenge June 24/12

1911 and CZ Shadow.

Am I allowed to use 10 rd 1911 mags?

Sure, no problem.

Although we are at 80 entries now, or very close to it, if someone still wants to shoot, it shouldn't be an issue. Our concern was to run two stages on one range, we would be limited to how many can shoot. We have decided to rather just shoot seven stages independently so that will no longer be an issue.

Match will run quickly this way and we should be done early rather than stressing to get everyone through.

See you all on Sunday!

what a great shoot! my guns even got to have a shower, so now I dont have to clean them right?

thanks again to sam and ken and all the RO's for making this happen, as well as to all the great guys who came out.

again awesome time, made my week!

Tons of fun today, at one point I had to laugh... Only sport I've ever been involved in where there is a huge grin on my face while standing in the rain and mud. Thanks to all the RO's who make it happen. Can't wait till the next one

Match went awesome, great turnout! Even with the rain, it all worked out well. We have to try to get a Saturday for the next one so we can have more hours in the day. Match report and stats will be out soon.

Hey Sam, for the groups who missed stages... how did you come to a stage time for missed stages? Must have been tough to figure something out that was fair.

Here was my suggestion to Sam which I believe he followed.

It wouldn't be fair to add a penalty for not shooting a stage or to just add a random time. However, showdown times are very close to roundabout times, so for shooters who missed showdown (and i think there were only a few) they got their roundabout times. Outer limits and pendulum were calculated the same since they have similar total times.

At least the shooters got a score they actually shot, seemed like the fairest way to do it given the circumstances. Next shoot will be on a Saturday so we will have extended hours.

ahhh, of course my worst score was on the stage right before the one I missed, so I got a minute added to my time for the stage I didnt shoot. murphy's law is well in effect!
(thanks buckets of rain, next time i need a hat to keep the water out of my eyes)

IM still getting the mud off my boots from that one haha

great shoot though, looking forward to this weekend, should be a blast!

I promise to make sure it doesnt rain this weekend too

Is the winner of the raffle posted somewhere? I'm in Albania so I doubt I'd get the phone call seeing as my SIM card is yoinked till I get home, lol!

Congrats! I may shop for an AR so I'll have something a tad bit more competitive than my CZ, but I won't be able to make the next 2 3-guns so that's a project for later. Thanks man!
