What a great show, but the elephant hunt today ended badly?? They had walked 18 miles stalking a big bull, only to have another one charge them. The PH did a great job standing at the front, and putting the big guy down, but then the screen went black?? Did Jim eventually get his elephant, or how did the show end? I mean, too bad it's only 1/2 hr long.

No, he had to tag elephant the PH wacked.

Thats the way the cookie crumbles.

btw: a bang/flop on an elephant:eek::eek:

I think it's about time. I've put up with so many mind numbing shows of watching some moron clean out a closet and put up drapes.

Anyways, back on topic, that elepant went down pretty hard with a forehead shot I'm guessing?

Jim Shockey's Hunting adventures is probably my favorite show on that channel. Jim talks like my uncle Gord does when hes drunk, always using his hands and moving his head around. I can't help but crack a smile when i see Jim shockey talking on his commericals or when hes explaining something, it's funny as hell lol. Theres always great footage of some huge trophy animals ever episode too, great show.

One the best I've seen was his lion safari. Very dangerous sitting in a blind at night, and finding tracks inches away in the morning. If I remember right, he also used a Knight on that episode. Must have been old.

Listening to the program leading up to the incident with the elephant,it appears that the PH put them in a bad position by pursuing the elephants into that location. It looks like his poor judgment was responsible for the unhappy ending.

Jims eyes were buggin out of his head on the lion blind show. I noticed he wasn't the first one to approach the lion, either.

I really have to ask as I saw the show was he using a muzzle loader for the elephant! That looked what he was using to me...

I've never seen him hunt without his TC muzzle loader. I think I heard him say once that rifle was too easy, bow was too hard, so he uses the one in between.

...and yeah, easily one of the best hunting shows on WildTV. It gets recorded every week on my PVR, along with the ATV block that is on at the strangest time. Who's gonna get up at 05:30 on a Saturday am to watch a show?

Yes and no.....
He loves the T/C, or they are the better paying sponsor.... Don't forget the Knight, eh? I like his shows , but I envy him... he's living my life :pirate:

P.S. Let us not forget that on his dangerous game hunts he is ALWAYS backed up by his PH rifle, and if anyone cares to remember the buffalo shot from the truck with all the barrels that could spit lead.....
If you ate to use a single shot rifle and brag about it, use it all the times, without backup

He'll use anything that anybody is paying hin to use, and anything that anybody will pay to watch him use ( and brag it up) , and that goes for any of those guys that make videos or do hunting shows.
I may be wrong, but if Remchester or Brownage payed him well enough to hunt with their firearms he woud also....

I saw the elephant hunt episode too. It was pretty cool. I think Jim Shockey has the best show on thgat channel - always something different, not just the usual deer hunting.

Jim shows more than the hunt. He includes camp, his dad, and makes it entertaining. And when things go wrong, he shows that too.

But Cat, you're right. Promotion products play a huge role here and $ talks loudly.
