Copied this from another forum. makes me sad!!

"I have to say I'm very dissapointed. I subscribe to WildTV and some days I have to wonder why I'm paying my $3 per month.

There are few shows worth watching IMHO; most seem to be over produced american shows but there are a few I make a point to watch. One I have enjoyed somewhat has been 'Nosler's Magnum TV' . They've had a few Alaskan hunts and moutain hunts where, if you could get over the bumbling American hunting rag writer('sport'), the scenery and animal footage was decent.
However, today I was shocked(dissapointed) to see an elk hunting episode shot at Dunhams shoot farm. Not only that, it even stated he was a 'team Nosler' member.

Is this really how Nosler wants to promote their products? You can buy a wonderful partition bullet, brass, even loaded ammo and a $5000 Nosler rifle then go shoot a farmed elk? It will be hard for me to look at their stuff the same way again.

Of course, there was no mention of the fences or farming, just an amazing number of bulls lulling around. LOL. Of course, there was also no tagging of the livestock after the shot either.

Oh well, only good news is that's one less 'sport' we'll have out actually hunting wild Elk."

I feel the same, but every has their definition of a good hunt and a good show...

I watched a hunt in Iqualiut where the hunters didn't even know what province they were in. They didn't carry their rifles, someone carried them for them. When someone spotted an animal, they asked what was it's size, never even looked through the binoculars, took the rifle, shot the animal three times, posed for a photo and then went back to the boat.

I enjoy shooting USA the most on Monday nights, then perhaps guns and ammo TV, self defence TV, the hunting shows got boring quite fast but I still think it is worth the $3 a month,

Wild TV just became available on Rogers here in my part of the GTA and they want $5.99, I have watched it on my friend Bell Expressview and IMO its not worth it rogers asking price.

seen a show today, archery hunting for Coues Whitetails, guy took a 65 yard shot, hit some branches and deflected into the running deer's head. pretty disturbing

I suscribe to US satellite (DSS) and it has everything a shooter/sportsman could want about 6-7 24hr hunting channels and every Wednesday from 6 to midnight is Wednesday at the range sponsered by Midway USA its a culmanation of shooting show like Tactical TV, Personal Defence, American Rifleman, Handguns TV, Cowboys, Guns&Ammo TV its awsome then on Thursdays you have Thursdays Shooting which is more programming from 8 to 1am with shooting shows like Tactical ARms, Guns&Ammo classic,Shoot straight, etc etc.

I'm spoiled

I live with the constant fear that hunting in Canada (Alberta specifically because that is where I live) will become too much like "big business." Just like it is in the states. Hunting should be about regular people going out and getting some meat and getting lucky on the odd big one. Not a bunch of business men trying to become famous, make a name for them selves then capitalize on their fame. Too much Hollywood and business $$$$, and not enough down to earth people just having fun on wild TV.

Those TV shows are starting to define what hunting is and I ####ing hate it.

Those TV shows are starting to define what hunting is and I f**king hate it.

That is a really good point.

I agree some shows are definitely better than others, but for a dime a day I think that is pretty reasonable to pick and choose what shows I watch. I'd rather have it available than not at all.

If i could make programming changes I would say get rid of all the fishing shows (they already have a separate channel for just fishing) and just keep it to hunting and shooting.

Just my 2 cents.

I've never watched Wild TV and will never go out of my way to watch it...

I also have absolutely no interest in watching guided hunts/hunters or listen to thier spewings, I can out hunt and out shoot most of them so don't need to watch them... :D
