Wild TV :(

Must admit WildTV is a "love/hate" thing with me. Love the odd, well done Elk hunt and the occassional legit deer hunt, but hate all the canned-hunt's and all that American street-slang they spew out. It's pretty obvious that there's a concerted effort to "grow" the next world-record Whitetail and will likely be caught on camera in I-O-WA as Stan Pots would say.
Geoff

One of these days Stan Potts is going to orgasm his way right out of his tree stand to the ground and die of a heart attack , the way he carries on, my wife just bust her sides laughing when he starts his orgasm routine after shooting a deer.. And don't forget goretex outdoor adventures ....the most impressive group of hunters ever assembled ..... *gag*

ROTFLMAO, you hit the nail on the head with that observation!

Yup, Tiffany is hot but whatever, so's my wife :D I still enjoy WildTV and although I have my personal likes & dislikes of their programming, it's still better than watching a lot of the other junk that my woman enjoys subscribing to...surgeries, childbirth, gross diseases & the rest of that crap on the Health channel, yuck! :puke:

somehow , you've managed to marry my wife's clone ! I feel for you , if it's not on a real channel , .....(quading hunting fishing ) then somehow it ends up on baby shows and health stuff :p

You betcha greywolf :) Hey! If we got our wives together, they could watch all that garbage & us guys could go hunting and other important stuff

the wife says if we let them watch that plus house we can go as long as we like...... ummmm would we actually come back ? Yeah , I guess so , i owe her payback for the years of "babymania":p Besides, she actually supports my gun addiction , and has actually bought me guns :) gotta love her for that :)

:D:D:D So funny and so true! The way Potts carries on I'm instantly reminded of Will Sasso's impression of a drunken and lunatic Kenny Rogers on the skit comedy show "MadTV"...but with firearms!:D:D:D

wild tv has been pretty crappy lately until today... caught a new show starring cody robbins, shockey's old right hand. I like it!!! lots of great whitetail and muley footage from right here... not off galavanting to some god forsaken country that most of us will never be able to afford to go to...., or spend 6 days hunting some tiny little thing that looked to weigh about 20 pounds. Anyways, didn't catch the name of the show, but it was on around 11:00 am cst if I remember correctly.

I live with the constant fear that hunting in Canada (Alberta specifically because that is where I live) will become too much like "big business." Just like it is in the states. Hunting should be about regular people going out and getting some meat and getting lucky on the odd big one. Not a bunch of business men trying to become famous, make a name for them selves then capitalize on their fame. Too much Hollywood and business $$$$, and not enough down to earth people just having fun on wild TV.
Those TV shows are starting to define what hunting is and I f**king hate it.

My feelings exactly. Good post.

There are many in BC that not only want but are actively promoting all hunting to be with a guide/outfitter only.

Pretty pathetic way of thinking actually...

Yup Tiffany is cool, and Shockey's wife is pretty cool too, but he can stuff that TC inline and his " American select" powder up his a%%. I find that the show about "Western" something or other is most annoying with their 1000 yd. shots and "huskimaw" scopes, this just makes all hunters look bad.

Yeah.....some hunt'n shows suck, some are good and some even better, some gals on there are hot, some ok and some just plain freaking annoying married to to idiots named Vince cincrelloooo..or something spelt like that. We all have our differences with Wild TV.
The good thing is you can cancel your subscription or change the channel if you don't like it.....hmmmmm..that almost sounds too easy...heck even easier than sitting in front of your computer and typing about how much you dislike Wild tv cause of whatever this and whatever that. It does do one thing..I hope... and thats keep our shooting & hunting alive!
Remote controls have it made, you switch things on, off or change channels..i think we take it for granted when we finally get 100% pure outdoor tv and do nothing but ##### about it.
I'll pay my $3.00/month off season to watch other fellas do what I wish I was doing now.
my .02 cents

Just curious how showing well placed, one-shot kills makes all hunters look bad?

Im on the fence about this topic. I have cable and all I ever seem to find on TV is fishing shows. Not like 10-12 years ago when you could watch a hunting show on sunday morning.

I remember when SPIKE TV was TNN (The Nashville Network). You could watch huntin' #### all Saturday morning and a bit more on Sunday. My son and I would waste the moring away with a hunk of garlic sausage, and Capt Crunch straight from the box!. Wild TV is still better than back to back episodes of Canada Outdoors w/Thomas Pidgeon (peejean? Pee-on?) however he spells his name.
