Hey guys figured I'd create a brand new thread of this as things have changed so much.

Anyway http://wildboarcanada.ca has just gone live and is no longer just Saskatchewan but all of Canada. Let me know what you think I'm hoping the response will be good and get more users to the website.

Again this website is to track wild boars inside Canada, mainly alberta, sask, manatoba but they are in bc and most likely will end up being in other places aswell.

Feel free to use it as a hunting resource or mark down any sightings you get on trail cams or while you hunt.

Please give feedback as I love hearing from you guys.

Android app is live but I'm still working on the iphone app... Apple doesn't like speed when it comes to signing up apps for the app store so its taking awhile to get them approved.
 
I've added the ability to attach a picture to the point you input. I know some people were asking for it.

So I've overhauled the input boars page abit aswell as editing the map to allow pictures when you click a point. I currently have no points that contain pictures as I just implemented this.
 
Very cool! I like the way you can overlap multiple data points when zoomed out into a numbered icon. Did you hire someone, or figured it out yourself? Also, I'd love to get the pics attached to the data points thing working on Wolftracker as well.

Every thing ever done with wildboarcanada.ca or wildboarsaskastchewan.ca has been done by me minus some testing.

The overlap is fairly easy to do you can find the api on google developer.

The way I did pictures is the same as this site, just get the user to upload to photobucker or w/e and copy the url into a txt box when they input boars. Then if there is an image add an image tag with the location of the image to the point.

Elk are you still manually inputting every point into wolftracker? I have mine automated but I still need to approve every point which takes seconds.
 
UPDATE:

I made it easier to upload a picture. I now have a preview picture that will show up if you typed it correctly but will tell you if it can't find the picture.
 
Well good news apple app was approved.

Although I'm still waiting for the tax form sent via snail mail to get looked over and accepted... Sent it out 2-3 weeks ago.

I'll keep you posted when its available on the app store.

Yes, one of my buddies set up a php site where the three Admins have to manually upload every sighting or kill. Still haven't gotten to the pic thing yet. That is beyond my level of expertise.
I'm a little envious of how you got this going so well, I must admit. :D
 
Update: my tax forms finally were received by apple via snail mail... I'm waiting for them to do their thing and then the iPhone app will be available.
