Wildcat tikka stocks

I had nothing to do with it, I'm just a messenger. I got my first wildcat about 20 years ago, and many many since. Never a problem, and you won't find a lighter/stiffer stock. I just hope more molds keep coming.

If you like 25+oz $1000 stocks absolutely.

I do  I had a Wildcat, was a fun project, but a blank back then was $250 now they're almost $500 and you have to monkey with them. More interested in bolting on a McMillan built to my specs. I'm sure Wildcat will do well with these new Tikka stocks and it's great that there's another option out there for guys

Define "monkey with them". And how is a mcmillan "built to your specs"? I don't see many options on the edge line.

McMillan has far more blueprints on file than Wildcat... I couldn't get an M77 MKII stock from Wildcat, let alone one specifically for a short action magnum... McMillan has that blueprint... drop-in, tighten the screws. Also, there is the finish, with McMillan choose your pattern and your colours... my last was the McSwirly at 50% Black/25% Light Grey/ 25%/ medium gray... the Wildcat comes to you prepped and ready for the "Ugly Rifle" thread.

This isn't a question of if wildcat make it...they do.

And the edge does not come in molded colors...it comes with paint sure, but then you risk damaging the paint while bedding. Wildcat asks that you bed it then send it back for paint. And even that...I'm sure they'd paint it first if you ask. To each their own though, if spending more money out of the country for a really similar (heavier) product is your thing...well...fill yer boots.

The problem with purchasing a McMillan today is that our dollar is in the tank, effectively doubling the price. Then on top of the exchange rate, you now have to cough up another $200 USD for an export permit. I was going to purchase an M-40A-1 HTG stock last week, but the export permit was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Its too bad, because I like McMillan's products, and already have 3 McMillan stocked rifles, a fully adjustable A-5 on a 700, a CZ Safari Express on my 602, and the SAKO Varmint on a L461. So It looks like I'm getting an HS Precision instead (although I swore I'd never own one after the infamous Horiuchi add) but my gunsmith likes them, found one at a reasonable price, and he discovered he doesn't like working on Wildcats after installing one for me.

This is funny. Guys b!tch there isn't enough Canadian companies selling gun related products, a guy starts a thread mentioning a great new offering - and a handful of d-bags feel the need to try and run down the product and promote a Yankee product in the same thread.
