Wildcat tikka stocks

I do  I had a Wildcat, was a fun project, but a blank back then was $250 now they're almost $500 and you have to monkey with them. More interested in bolting on a McMillan built to my specs. I'm sure Wildcat will do well with these new Tikka stocks and it's great that there's another option out there for guys

I've owned McMillans and have not been impressed. Overpriced drop ins...nothing custom about the fit and finish or the cheap paint.

I've got a pic somewhere of a McMillan Edge snapped in two from last season.

Each to their own, but I'll take a custom fit Wildcat any day.

you're just a thrifty bow hunter:dancingbanana:

mcmillan will give you new stock. Wildcat would break in two under same extreme abuse. No warranty

i have 9 years of use on a McMillan edge paint job, hasn't flaked off yet

Barreled action is on its way back so I'm starting to think about bedding.

What do guys think about this depression around the pillars. Would you cover them with bedding or remove a bit of material so the action sits on them?

I'm going with the score high compound this time. I just threw out 3/4 of a pound of Devcon because the hardener crystalized and won't be giving them anymore of my money. The score high stuff should be just as good I hope

When your action comes back it will make sense. The bottom of the action sits into those recesses - resting on the pillars. Not to fear.
