Wildgame Innovations Halo range finder

Canadian tire has this range finder on sale this week does any one have one and would you recommend it?

Brother in law has one. Seems to eat $20+ batteries annually. ... Ranges well for short distances

Thanks for the input I think I'll wait for a better one to come on sale .I am more interested at the longer distances 200 to 400 yards any recommendations ?
