Over the past couple years since I've been out of the hunting loop I've taken a few wildlife pictures instead. Im far from a good photographer (I only own a point & shoot camera) but I figured everyone could post up some pictures.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I like seeing pictures of wildlife (living and after :D)

The way to go, Drache, I like to see people taking wildlife pictures.
See if you people know what kind of a grouse this is.

I like taking wildlife photo's of all shapes and forms more than any other type of photography. In fact this is somthing I plan on doing more seriously in the future.

The grouse I pictured is a female Franklin. I think the one PHARAOH2 shows is a male Franklin. It may be a spruce grouse, but there is a very fine line between the two. I used to think they were all just "fool hens," but I have done quite a bit of huting and travelling with a retired biologist and he showed me, in the field, the difference between a Spruce grouse and a Franklin.

Sure it is good.
I think in this one the goose on the right is saying to the one next to him,
"get off my log!"

I wish someone could tell me, using Photobucket, how to post more than one picture at a time.
This was taken out the back door of our carport.

My pictures aren't very good, but I thought this was interesting to see how inventive deer can be:

A lot of absolutely fantastic wildlife picture have been posted!
DRAGGIN, really good close ups of the black bear and Wow, your red snapper is out of this world! Good seashore shots also.
ADRIAN J HARE, you were sure at the right place at theright time to get that great picture of the new born white tail.
Drache, I too, have taken pictures of those pretty thistle flowers. Nice shots of soaring eagles, too.
Campbery, is that lynx in the family picture. A little hard to tell from bobcat, but it certainly is a cute picture. And your shot of the raptors, very good. There is a bald eagle there, but what is the black bird and what is he taking off with in his claws? Is it an American Eagle?
Tino, You have a great close up of a wolf, but your owl picture is an absolute winner!! You should enter it in a major wildlife photo contest.
And Scott N, that's good of the mulies on the haystack, but your grizzly and cub belongs in the once in a life time catagory.
CGN just took on a whole new meaning, with these wonderful examples of wildlife photos shown.
EDITED: Kjohn, that's a good picture of a mean looking badger, also. And is the buck in the freezer now?
