Hey guys,.. Looking to get a set of "Williams WGRS Firesight" peep sights for my Marlin 336 35Rem, and am wondering if there is a good place here in Canada to order from, or should I just order direct from "Williams Sights". I have searched around the web a bit, but do to lack of internet knowledge and patience I can't seem to come up with much, so I thought I would ask you guys for a little help,..

Here is a pic of what I am looking for.....

Thanks

Brownelles in the states shipped still I believe
I'd go for the Xs sights or skinner sights if it's in the budget. Far better product iv had all 3 and prefer the xs for usability and the skinner is a close second with more traditional appearance.

Also if never had luck the the willians fibre optic pins staying put. They have always fallen out on me. Might be operator abuse.

Ellwood Epps, prophet river will most likely have it in stock or if you have a local gunsmith I’m sure they can hook you up as well

Second that, I put the XS sight on my 336 in 35 rem and have no problem hitting a 6" gong at 147yrds standing. Might be simple for some but I was pretty impressed with it.

The friendly folks at Skinner ship direct to Canada.

They are all that I use on my Marlin leverguns.

Ok guys,.. thanks so much for your help. I think I will check out the Skinners and Xs aswell.
My eyes aren't what they used to be so a fiber op front will be a must with which ever peep I get,.. thanks again guys.

Is your gun drilled for a receiver sight on the top LH side? Should be two small holes near the hammer.

Yes it is

I would suggest that you also look into a Williams FP. They are a better sight with positive click adjustments and stronger construction. I've used both including the one in the OP.

The older all steel Lyman or Redfield sights are even better and more suited for an older rifle.

You're right, the Williams FP is a good sight.. my father put one on his Model 64 Deluxe when his eyes started to get bad, I took it off after he passed, But if I were going to use the old rifle again I would put it back on,.. good sight. The FP was what I was originally thinking for the 336, but was thinking a receiver top peep would be a bit neater/cleaner looking.

The WGRS is a neater/cleaner looking sight for sure, but the FP is a sturdier sight that offers positive click adjustments. I've used the WGRS in my 760s and switched to the FP.

Thanks for your experience and knowledge SC,..
I have to admit that I would rather have rugged and reliable over cosmetic eye appeal any day,.. you should see my wife, lol,..(hope to God she don't see this, lol)…. all jokes aside, I may just stick with my original thoughts and pic up the FP.

Is your rifle an older vintage 336?
