Wiliams Peep For Marlin 336??

Nice! ....... Any pre-safety is preferred. I saw a set of RCBS 35Rem dies at the Gun Dealer in the Yard Sale section. $25

Mine does have a cross bolt safety, it's the only thing I don't like about it,... would like to pick up a safety delete for it. I do have a set of Lee dies but haven't loaded for it yet,.. I did get a pretty good deal on a few boxes of 200gr Rem Corlokt ammo,.. I'll probably shoot a box of these to get some brass to play with,... I have had this rifle for a couple of years and haven't fired a shot out of it yet..lol

another recommendation for the skinner if it is in the budget, i had a wgrs on my 1895 and while it is hard to mess up a sight that consists of a .096 hole that can move side to side and up and down, it is not nearly the quality of the skinner on my dads 336, i recently upgraded the williams fp that was on my win 94 to a skinner and boy howdy what a difference, not having an extra 3/8" sticking off the side of your receiver is pretty awesome, that being said, my 94 is a meat gun and once the sights are set, they don't get moved, if i used it for cowboy silhouette or something i would go with the williams fp and target knobs.

For the safety just pull the stock and use the set screw to hold the safety from moving on ya.

Or you can do what hundreds of Cowboy shooters do with the safeties on Marlins so that safeties don't get switched to the safe position when staging the gun . With the safety in the "fire" position just roll a tight fitting rubber "O" ring onto the detent notch cut in the safety (where the red paint is)...takes 5 seconds

FYI - Rusty Wood Trading has Skinner sights and XS sights in stock. Maybe not listed on their webs site but he has them on wall in shop for sure.
