I need some help from the experts. My Uncle has his Grandfathers revolver that we need some info on. Above the cylinder in reads "Wilkinson Webley 05" Yes the quotation marks are there. The caliber reads 450/455 with a dot at the top front of each 4. Along the top it reads Wilkinson Gunmakers, Pall Mall London S.W. The s/n is 125### and it says Webley Patents beside the s/n. It looks a little rough but will probably clean up nice. Can anyone tell me more about it? Can you tell me how old it is. Can you tell me how to legally register it. Curious what it is worth but there are no plans to have it leave the family.

Well, it may be an antique and not require registration if made before 1898.

I *think* that the "05" in the name indicates it was a 1905 model however, and the s/n of 125### seems to indicate from a bit of quick google research that it would have been made well after 1898.

If it is not an antique, someone with a restricted PAL should give the CFC a call and ask if it can be registered as it was just recently discovered. I'm not sure on the circumstances of how this was discovered, but the executor of a will can possess firearms without licensing/registration requirements being met for a reasonable period of time.

It is indeed the Webley Wilkinson model 1905. The address was changed to the one on your gun in 1909. this was observed on revolver 2160 (webley serial number 125310) It would predate the Webley Wilkinson Model 1910

So its an EVIL Baby killing handgun, Not an antique.

And I am jealous!;) Missed one for lack of money some years ago, but I did pick up a Webley Government later, so it's some compensation.:D
