Will 21sf mags fit a 21

Non ambi mags will not work in ambi release frame, but the ambi mags will work in the non ambi frame. The difference is all in the notch for the mag catch.
I'm going to mod my non ambi mags to work in my 21SF with ambi release.

My gen 3.5 21SF with ambi release (not reversible but true ambi) will not hold the mags from my standard G21. They need to have the notch in both sides like the new mags that come with the ambi release frame come with.
I will be filing a notch into them to make them work though. Hopefully it works. I still need to get home to look to see if it can be done. I'll know for sure Tuesday the 6th.
They are not gen 4.
I don't think any Glock holds the mag in the middle either.
If your pistol only has the release on the left side then all 21 and 21SF mags will work.

The knotch is in the front of the magazine, not the other side ridge. Easy modification. The knotch will not interfere with the operation of the mags in your std G21. Don't overthink this... They're just plastic and metal, hell an exacto knife could cut the "window" needed.

Upon further inspection my ambi mag release G21SF does in fact grab the mag by a notch in the center, all the mags have a notch on the right side so they will all work in my standard 21 but I do have a couple older G21 mags that don't have the notch in the middle and they fall out of the 21SF.
This will only apply if your 21 has the mag release that grabs the center notch. If it grabs the side notch then all 21 and 21SF mags will work.
Just look up into the mag well to see which one you have.
