Will a .300 win short mag casehead fit a .300 win mag boltface?

I'm thinking about a wildcat, will I be able to fit a .300 win short magnum cartridge on a .300 win magnum boltface?

There is only 3 thou difference at the case rim ..... I think it should work.

Yes. the boltface for a win magnum is the same for all win mags WSM and WSSM. The full magnums are belted, that's all
