Will a Dremal?

The facepalm smiley isn't large enough to adequately express my dismay.

Butcher away, see if we care.lol
I think you should do it just to piss everyone off that does not want you to.

Can I use a dremal to cut a bayonet lug off of an Ar barrel?

Sure, you can use a dremel, or cut it off with a torch, or chop it off with a machete if you're so inclined. Your gun, so go nuts. Just whatever you do, don't cut even a millimeter off the length of the barrel, or you'll immediately be a criminal!

Even if you screw it up another front sight tower with bayo lug is only about $25.

Don't know where you're getting them for $25 but good luck getting the holes to line up. Not really an interchangeable part.

I'd think a hacksaw and file would would be easier/quicker than a dremel.

It's your rifle do what you want.

Thank you all for such great advice on how it would look, but then I read my post and I never asked if anyone though it would look good.. I think for now I will pass on the Dremel fix so people do not cry over a mod lol.. anyway if I do it I will post pics for all to see and enjoy :)

But for real thnx for the advice cheers all

I've sold maybe a half dozen in the past year or so & that's what I sell them for. I've never really had problem with the pins lining up either.
