Will a safety on a Rem x-pro trigger world on a 40x

I am fairly sure it will not if the 40X trigger is in ounces... otherwise I think it would. There is an easy way to find out if you have the parts...
 
Thanks for the response. I doubt the 40x is in oz, haven’t adjusted it from factory setting. Just damaged the safety lever when swapping. I do have the parts. Just was hoping for an experienced opinion before tackling my self. Thank you for the reply.
 
Get the repair parts from Remington 40x rifles parts should be available from the custom shop
Just send them the serial number

That might work if you are in the US and the parts are staying in the US... but I seriously doubt the Remington Custom Shop will send and trigger parts to a Canadian address.

X Mark/X Mark Pro trigger group parts are NOT interchangeable w/ M.Walker design(pre2006) 40X/700/Seven trigger groups.

A 40X single shot 3 lever 2oz trigger group does NOT have a safety lever option.

Remington will not sell trigger group parts to a non FFL.

Rifle Basix manufactures a 700/40X Repeater trigger group safety lever kit -$40USD.

OP,
As you learned the hard way by breaking the safety lever-
Apply the safety to SAFE
Tap the aft trigger group pin out from Rt to Lt
Take safety lever to fire
remove the bolt stop & torsion spring
remove the fwd trigger group pin

I've precision TIG welded hundreds of broken 700/40X Safety levers over the years.
