Will an accustock accept an axis receiver?

Just wondering if anyone out there knows if a savage accustock will accept an axis receiver and barrel?
Was thinking of putting one together...

Let me know I you've tried etc...

No it will not from what i have heard has to do with the barrel nut being part of the stock or something to that effect.

Darn. Have an extra accustock thought I could make it work but didn't wanna order an axis without knowing for sure...

CAN be made to work but not a drop in.

The action length is goofy, bolt holes dont line up, "lug" is different vs the Savage.

Certainly not ideal.
