Will any AR-15 multi tool work for the JR Carbine?

My advice take it to a local gun smith. He should have a variety of wrenches to try on the JR. Then buy the one that works best.

I have a multi-tool that I bought that fits the castle nut for sure. IN the end I just ordered the tool from JRC as I know that one fits.

I ordered the tool from JR as well. Arrived quickly and not very expensive.

Probably the way to go.

You don't need tools to do a basic field strip on an ar.

Yes. You need an Allen key to separate the receivers, and an ar tool to take the stock off to get to the bolt.

So why do you guys need the tool then, if not to takedown for cleaning?

Didn't mean to touch anyone's butt nerve. I'm looking at one of these.

And even my mid range 1911 came with a bushing wrench
