As subject, will be interested if anyone know where to search for a gun shop.

Might be lucky to get some military surps and a nice condition K31/K11...

Is it a huge work to import from Switzerland a K31?

Thanks in advance.

Swiss gun shops know how to export to Canada. Just make certain you have all of your firearms information.
When you have the purchase contact a Canadian firearms importer.

There are several gun shops in Zurich, check google, http://www.schaufelberger-waffen.ch/

As far as I know, you can buy unrestricted firearms in Switzerland, and bring them with you in the plane, if properly stored and if you have a valid PAL to import them into Canada.
I did this myself several times, but it was 25 years ago.

Better bring a big fat wallet full of cash, our Dollar is worth next to nothing nowadays, and Switzerland is one of the most expensive places in Europe

Canadian dollar is down against the US dollar but holding up well to the Euro.

Switzerland is not part of the EU (thank god) so no Euro. The currency is Schweizerfranken (Swiss Franc).

Wyss Waffen Burgdorf BE if you make it out to the Berner countryside.

Once you get there Google Gebrauchtwaffen Schweiz to find Karabiner.

Today it takes $1.54 to buy one Euro (plus banking fees)
Only two months ago that was $1.34.

The Euro increased in value by 15% against the CAD in only 2 months time. Is this what you call holding up well?

looks pretty damn easy if you are importing a NR.

Feels like the only thing that is needed for importing the firearm (non-restricted) is the PAL...and answer the questions from CBSA truthfully. I believe it means as long as you could manage to carry the firearm onto the aeroplane, there should be no problem for bolt actions like Mauser, K31, and Mosin to enter Canada

Should be easier to import in person, even a restricted might not be too bad. I think the export fee for firearms is 50 Swiss francs.
Not sure what the regs are for a foreigner owning firearms there for the duration of the stay... I'm sure the shop will be willing to help you.
I imported some antique revolvers last year and had to do it via the USA since no shipper will mail direct to canada except dedicated courier and airlines as freight, which would have been pricey unless you are shipping volume.

As long as you register the gun before bringing a restricted and declare it you should have no problems. Non restricted is easier.
Any headaches would likely be on the swiss side.

Pick me up a couple sig p210s while your at it.

no you cant carry the firearm onto the plane

all firearms need to be trigger locked(even better bolt removed) and in a locked case(hard sided if you like your firearm)
they have to go into the "checked in' luggage hold and be prepared to open the case when checking in.

hitting canada, the cbsa will stop you and you HAVE to declare them, for obvious reasons.
