Feels like the only thing that is needed for importing the firearm (non-restricted) is the PAL...and answer the questions from CBSA truthfully. I believe it means as long as you could manage to carry the firearm onto the aeroplane, there should be no problem for bolt actions like Mauser, K31, and Mosin to enter Canada

to be able to buy a gun in Switzerland, you are required to get a "purchase permit", which will take quite some time.

Just have the dealer send your purchases to Canada, probably a lot easier.

Waffen Bürchler is where I found my Zfk-55, but he mostly has hunting rifles and pistols. He definitely is able to export to Canada.

Also the CAD was doing waaaaay better when I bought it. I wouldn't buy anything in Switzerland unless it was mega cheap or super rare.

Issue was you couldn't export through the mail from Switzerland.
I would be thrilled if that changed!
