Will CSA ever make a Steel Magazine for .223 VZ 58's?

I don't think CSA did themselves in favours with how the TARFLON/Zytel magazines feel. I have no doubt that they will stand up to the rigors of regular use but they feel flimsy. It was one of the reasons why I returned my 5.56 vz.58 in favour of the 7.62 model (that and I have a metric ton of 7.62 and didn't want the hassle of storing another calibre). I just didn't trust the magazines even if intellectually I knew they would last just as long as a polymer magazine.

You might want to go see a psychiatrist about that, lol!

As for me, I had a VZ-58 in .223 and never had any issues with the mags, even running them at -15C in the winter.

Fair enough, and I would admit to some OCD issues, ha ha.

I'm not completely closed off to non-metal magazines. I find for my SKS-45 that the Tapco magazines are far less problematic than the steel magazine I bought for more money. Speaking of...anyone want to buy a 5/30 metal magazine for the SKS-45? :)

Nope. The original fixed magazine works just fine for me.
