Will Glock ever make a .22 pistol?

Likely it's 'cause they concentrate on firearms for LEOs and military.
But I'd like to know why they haven't at least come out with their own .22 conversion kit.

Glock hasn't designed anything from scratch since 1982 or so. I suppose they could design a blowback, but they just don't seem like the kind of company to branch out, if you see what I mean.

I have always wished they made there own pistol cal carbine.
Lots of aftermarket ones but one of there own would be nice.

Glock has built a reputation for reliable firearms, whether you like them or not. Pistols chambered in .22LR are generally finicky due to the cheapness of the ammo. Combine that with their focus on Mil/LEO/Self defense and there is no good reason for them to make a .22LR. A PCC on the other hand would sell like hotcakes and fit their brand prefectly.

A dedicated 22 trainer line would be an excellent addition. A pcc is a waste of time, they're a dying breed that has been largely replaced by short barreled rifles chambered in a more serious calibre. A single stack 9mm is what they should have offered over the g41 and g42. Something very slim, light and potent with the legendary glock simplicity and reliability. A 380 is a joke and who gives a SH!t about a long slide 45.

I've asked the OP question a lot myself. But then I gave up and bought myself a S&W M&P 22, in operating terms a Glock with a slightly different hinge in the trigger. As for conversion kits, I don't get the value of such a kit that costs as much as the original firearm when you can have a whole second and very similar firearm for the same price or less.

Similar isn't the same, hence the desire for an AA conversion.

Yeah I get it, but I prefer a whole different but similarly operating gun. Your .40 or .45 cal with a .22 conversion is not the same gun anyway. IMO.

If the conversion kits were cheaper it would be different.

I have a Gen4 AA kit and it works very well. I would purchase a Glock kit if such a thing existed but they seem to only be concerned with LE/Mil. They make Simunition models so it must be within the realm of possibility? I would just buy the AA a few mags and several buckets of Remington Golden Bullets and you're good to go. I can't ever see them licensing their IP to a company like Walther for a straight up .22 either.

The manual of arms are the same, the holster you use is the same, the mag pouches you use are the same, the drills are the same. The difference is in the weight, the recoil and the cost to practice.
