I have the Chiappa 1911-22 and it's a really fun gun. I love the fact it shoots cheap .22 ammo, and that it feels and handles like a 1911 in 45ACP.

It has only one issue - of the two magazines that came with the pistol, one sucks bad-!!! It's a real PITA to get the rounds to feed properly out of it - the other magazine works just fine.

So, my question: does anyone know/has anyone tried to see if the GSG 1911-22 magazines fit and work in the Chiappa?

If you have a real 1911 mag, try it in the Chiappa. GSG mags are made to fit 1911's as they sell a conversion kit as well.

Can't answer the GSG 1911 .22lr mag working in a Chiappa 1911 .22lr question..... but I did find that a GSG 1911 .22lr mag works fine with a real deal Colt .22 conversion unit.

Which is great considering GSG mags are plentiful & relatively cheap compared to the scarce & expensive when found Colt .22lr mags.

As was suggested, I'd just buy a GSG mag & try it. Would be interested to see if it works.
