Will Marstar ever get those M1 Garands in?

garands

A guy from another board said a local shop in Edmonton ordered around 100 of them and they are coming from Europe. I dunno about you guys but i'm getting excited.:dancingbanana: :D

The facts of the gun market, as I believe them to be (anyone in a position to KNOW different please correct me): 1) the scary legal situation in the last years has caused many firearms retailers and even wholesalers to close. 2) US government policy has made it more difficult for Canadian wholesalers to import certain firearms. 3) The economy outside of Ontario is almost too good to be true, so people have more disposable income in traditional gun buying areas. 4) There has been a resurgence of interest in shooting among people who were active shooters before the registry came in. 5) there are large (ish) numbers of new shooters that we really haven't seen in the last 5 or so years, many attracted by the constant 'ban bullsh*t'. 6) all of the preceding means that demand is outstripping supply by a pretty good margin which means if you want it buy it the first time you see it, or you won't see it again. 7) none of the above should bother anyone who is willing to spend the money to get what they want - you can get it, it just won't be cheap anymore.

we bought 8 Nice Garands in August of '98 for $1000..........Ive still got mine, how can i ever sell it when Ive only got $125 invested???????

Well they can go f**k them selves then. If they think they can sell a gun that they were selling for $200 before for $900, that will be the end of me buying things from Marstar. I'm Mother raised ugly kids, not stupid ones. Besides, like I said, I've seen REAL Garands going for $400 at gun shows. I won't be too upset if I have to put net furnature on an origonal garand.

I read an intersting article on 303british.com and I'm also starting to think I would rather build an Enforcer as opposed to buying an AIA look-a-like.

...I'm Mother raised ugly kids, not stupid ones...

Are you sure?

I'm still crying in my beer for passing up on one for $200. In my defense, I can only offer the feeble excuses that I don't know if it was all matching numbers, I didn't check the condition of the barrel, I don't know if it was Springfield or Breda or whatever. I ONLY HOPE IT WAS A PIECE OF CRAP! If I ever found out it was a GEM, I would hardly be able to live with myself. I just thought I had spent a lot of money on guns lately and the CFO might be irate if I reported another purchase of a gun I didn't "really need".

I bought one last year on the EE for $500, I NEEDED it.
BTW what's all this about matching numbers, I thought garands were assembled mismatch from the get go?
