I have looked around the net and have not found the answer.

I have recently purchased a 7mm-08...based on the advice I have recieved from some of the fourm members.

I am currently set up to load for my 7mm-rem mag. If I get some good 7mm-08 brass and want to neck size for the 7mm-08 will my rem mag dies work.

I know that dies are not very expensive and I will be getting dies that will be dedicated to the 7mm-08...but I am wondering about the 7mm dies?

Your case will not go far enough up into the die for the neck sizing portion of your 7mm mag. to act on your case mouth/neck, and even if it did, you would have to make sure it is set properly to not set back the shoulder. Some extended shell holders may facilitate this, I'll have to try, but it's not worth mucking around with, just buy a good set of Redding, Rcbs, or Forster dies and be happy and safe!

Exactly

Thanks for the quick responses. It makes sense. I was thinking that since they both seat a .284 bullet that they might..BUT shoulder / neck length is where the problems will occur.

I had a feeling it would be a no go...now I know why.
Thanks again.

Just put the two cases side by side and tell me how you could ask that.

You are kidding, right? :D If you aren't, I would prefer you don't shoot your reloads anywhere near me please.:p
