Will my (legal) LAR15 Pistol mags work in a Mini-14 .223?

OK, I found something here:
http://www.alflahertys.com/products/robinson-arms-xcr-m-keymod-tan-223-or-308

Ach, that's not for me. I've already got an AR and an M-14.
This XCR reminds me of something my friend got in .308 recently for about 750 dollars.
I'm sure these XCRs are fine weapons, but as somebody remarked, they're a bit pricey.
Thanks all the same.

What did your friend get that is "like an xcr" for $750?
The other NR option that takes AR mags is this....Nork T97, around $1000.

There's also the Kel-Tec SU-16F, specifically made for the Canadian market with an 18.5 inch barrel.
Non-restricted, accepts AR magazines and retails for around $900.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. I just discovered this morning that Cabelas has the Mini-14 mags in-store for $35 a pop, just 5 minutes away from my place,
so I went there and bought four of them. Good thing I know how to "search" eh?

GiJose: That was very helpful. Thanks a lot.

I've found some sponsors have the 5/5rd magazines for $25ish, they sit flush, and work great.

What my friend got:

And for the truly curious, and for the hecklers--
What he's got is a 'DPMS Panther' with the 'A2'-style buttstock.
I know it's not an XCR; I never said it was "like an XCR", I said
that the XCR "reminded me of" something my friend got for about
$750. He got it from one of our sponsors. With a nice scope, a bipod,
and new trigger, it's shooting <1 MOA @300yd. Only problem is--
it's also on the Restricted list.
And yeah, those XCRs are 'non-restricted', like my Mini-14.
Go figure.

Thx again to those who contributed so courteously.

ps-- lone wolf: $25 seems like a good price for those mags, but then there's the shipping to pay.
Good find, tho. I'm finding that Ruger parts are hard to source here. Ruger USA won't ship to Canada, eh?

Cheers,
SL

Depends on what you're looking for, aftermarket stuff isn't too bad, ruger factory stuff does seem less available.
I mean, a $40 20rd ruger magazine in the states can be $70 or more up here.
Yet the 5/5rd magazine is nearly equally priced between canada & the us, so someone is doubling the price for a god damn rivet job.
