Hey guys,
I have been lurking for years on this site and i finaly decided to join up just now.
I just got a Socom 18 as a gift and im just getting myself familiarized with these types of rifles. I'm loving them by the way!
I was just wondering if it would fit in the Archangel Sparta stock?
If not what Norino variant would fit? I'm getting bored and want to have a cheap new build!
Thanks guys!:dancingbanana:

The sparta is for the mini 14 no the m14.

There is a archangel stock for the m14 and there is a couple of other stock options for the m14 platform.

Here is my norc socom 18

oops :confused:like I said, im still getting over the learning curve of these rifles so I get confused easily. lol
very nice gun!
Is that grouping @ 50 or 100 yards?

Looks like Im going to have to build my Socom 18 and a Mini 14!
Does anyone make a cheaper version of the mini 14?
Thanks!

It is at 100 yard, I believe I could get the groups alot tighter with a scope that is at least 3-9x and more tuning on the op rod guide tentionning screew.

I had a mini 14 sparta, the archangel sparta kit is really nice and solide but ti me it was muchto front heavy and heavy over all. I bbelieve mine with a scope was probably around10-12 lbs. Its just too much. For the money a nice ar like a daniel defence will be alot lighter and much more precise.

Also I do believe that looking back I might had have a shifting poi with the archangel stock.

Wow that blackfeather stock is ###y! Defiantly going to snatch one up. Ill just on it as soon as I have my heart set on a color!
Sucks to hear about the Sparta stock. I just build non restricted guns now so any AR is a no go for me because im always out in crown on the quad and camping.
Does Norinco have a mini 14?

The Archangel is made for M14 semi auto receivers with typical U.S. made receiver geometry. The norinco/ployech rifles fit nicely with some very minor mods done with simple tools. The HOW TO on the fitting is in the stickies somewhere above the normal threads.
Overall, guys seem to like the archangel and it's features (you either love em or hate em) and the price point for the builder on a budget is hard to beat. There are lots of look cool go fast stocks for BIG fricken money... And must have add-ons to actually use, like grips buttstocks, handguards ect ect.
While I'm not personally a huge archangel fan , Loads of em in canada fitted primarily to the various versions of the chinese rifle, including the new socom 18's

But witch is the lightest and most versatile? ?

I've had the Troy, JAE 100, USGI fiberglass, nork plastic and wood, and a Blackfeather. The troy was way to heavy, the JAE was heavy also but was quality to the extreme. The nork stocks are ok if you want to just keep the rifle as is and not worry about mods. The USGI fiberglass are a great stock, but seem to be getting harder to get a hold of.My favorite so far for being light weight, rock solid and versatile has to be the Blackfeather. Add or remove rails. Endless choices of butt stocks and grips. Barrel tension adjustment .If I were going to build a gun just for the bench the JAE would get the nod.
