With this absolute brutal winter will the DNR cancel the whitetail/muledeer season or have heavy restrictions? I wouldn't mind seeing it shut down a year to see things get better. About the only things that are gonna have number and plenty of them will be ducks and geese. Thoughts?

Cheers!!

I work in the country, all of my work is in the country.

I see an amazing amount of deer everyday!

So far I haven't seen too many that are in poor shape, which isn't the usually the case in winters of this kind....

I don't expect we will see reduced bag limits this coming season.

I am still seeing deer. There will be some winter kill but some areas will get hit worse than others. Cutting back to a single tag in all zones would be a good idea.

The open country in the south will be worst off but the forest fringe area will still be alright. Numbers were really good last year and I'm hoping they will still be decent this year.

I am for having a season in the zones that still have a healthy population, and closing the season in zones where the population can't sustain a harvest.

The farmer that called me to kill yotes at his place had about a 100 whities in his yard and about 20-40 mullies around his place.

A bunch of the whities are dieing like crazy though. I dont think its from starvation, I think it might be from CWD. I took a video of one walking or trying to walk in front of my truck acouple weeks back. Dont know if you want to see it or not...
