Will SKS-D mags fit on a Russian model?

I don't think there is a Russian version that takes ak mags. I think the only country that produced the "d" version was china.

Norinco modified the SKS to take AK 47 magazines. Nobody else has done that to the SKS.

These are the places I know that sell detachable magazine system's for the SKS but they all have there pro's and con's. Personaly with the hurting 5 round rule in Canada the best is still the original. As for an adaptor to take AK mag's has been created but not manufactured. Bringing in magazines that are not pinned would be a big 'no-no'

They seem easy to pin though. Just from looking at them, they seem easier to pin than the original 10rounders.

This might be a stupid question, but are those detachable mags from Marstar only for SKS-D models or will they work in a Russian SKS?

there are lots of those mags here and pinned. cheap too.

Do you know of any Canadian or US company that ships to Canada that carries pinned fixed mags? Can't find any and dont have access to the EE yet.

I'm kind of interested in the duckbill mags, but still ask myself, "Why would I mutilate my SKS when I could just save and buy a 858?"

That is where I stand. Probably the same as most.

The duckbill mags are a replacement, no cutting involved, which
is a good thing as after a while you will take the p.o.s thing out
and go back to the factory mag that will work.
