Hello
I'm looking to get a tar-21 or an ar-15. But I also heard if the libetard horsecrap bill (c71) passes, these two rifles will likely to be reclassified to prohibited?

To my shallow understanding, these two families of rifles are not mentioned in c71. But will they be the next target? Are they likely to be reclassified to prohibited? I'd really like to know what do you guys think, as I would hate to spend 2k on a rifle that will likely become paperweight.
Cheers

There is no possible way for anybody outside of Liberal caucus to know that. The bill does not mention either rifle by name, but reinforces the ruling government's ability to ban any and every firearm by Order in Council. Which ones they have targeted is anybody's guess. Nobody knows any more than you do.

On the chance they do , if you have one you may be fortunate enough to get grandfathered (sarcasm ). Again not guaranteed , if your really worried pick up a receiver. Same as having the rifle to the libs it seems and not that much invested.

It amazes me how many people speak as if getting screwed is such a wonderful opportunity. :bangHead:

Exactly my thoughts BattleRife.

I am not interested in Grandfathering & is the reason I sold my CZ858 when C-71 was announced. History has shown time & again, that the anti-gunners come out with 'soft' prohibition, and once the majority of folks have complied, they tighten down the screws, turning your once useful property into a paperweight you can not use... If the receivers of the 858's were converted autos, then the gov should have been putting everyone with one into the 12(3) classification via grandfathering. The fact they are not & intend to create a 12(9) tells you something...

In all reality, the Firearms Act is a mess. And if future conservative govs want to fix it, then they need to completely re-write it, ensuring they get rid of the Non-Restricted, Restricted & Prohibited classes, as well as returning to a FAC permit @ a minimum... A guy can dream right?

I sure as #### wouldn't be registering or getting grandfathered with a gun thats currently NR. Will not comply.

Quebec will be an interesting test of this with their provincial registry requiring registration by next Jan.29th... Many think mass non-compliance will be the order of the day... We will see...

Cheers

My own thoughts on it.

1.does it load from a magazine?
2.does it fire a projectile?

If you answered 'YES' to one/both/none of these questions, then the liberal nanny state wants to ban it.

Tavor and AR15 are named specifically in RCMP written reports
RCMP Have both firearms (amongst other) in said written reports as being targeted for eventual prohibition
Other firearms include the now prohibited CZ/VZ 58 & 858, Mini 14, T97, XCR Series, don't recall the rest
Do a search on CGN and you can find the refs, you can also search the net to find the reports as well
The Mounties are quite blunt in front of government committees and the media, as well as in writing, regarding their opinions on the public owning these rifles
Yes, they're on the RCMP hit list

The memo you are speaking of came out a few years ago..thus it may not be their present priority......I would think that these are no more at risk as are other black rifles..(I might be wrong).it’s all a S..t show with the libs

Don't let that concern you... Buy them now, enjoy them, and get politically active: BURY them in letters and phone calls, contribute to Parties who support your hobby, educate the ill-informed (CCFR videos are great for this) and GET OUT AND VOTE.

Just buy one!! I'd encourage you to buy an AR-15 specifically. The more there are out there, the more of a logistical nightmare it becomes for them to prohibit them.

The way I see it, I can enjoy them NOW. And I am, very much so. If there comes a time where I absolutely cannot enjoy my firearms anymore, I'll be much happier knowing that I did while I could.
