Will the AR ever be Non-Restricted, again?

The implementation of Income taxes is a temporary measure to help pay for the war effort... Governements do not easilly give back what they steal from you... Be that money OR rights...

Sure they can. Prohibit the AR15s, send out notifications 30 day notifications.

Collect the willingly surrendered ones, send the ERT after everyone else. Go in at 3:00am, mess up the house a bit, kill everyone inside, and claim a righteous shoot out. Then cite national security issues if anyone pries and send out a bunch of press releases saying how the guy had known ties to [insert your favorite terrorist name here] and that he was planning something bad.

You'd be amazed what you can get away with when you add the proper media spin.

+1
This is exactly what will happen, at some point in my life time, most likely sooner then later. But i think there may be a few steps in between there, but that basically sums it up!

I am seriously thinking about saying the hell with it, and spend the big bucks and buy a even more scary Rifle, and get a XCR. I know they are Non Restricted, but they look more scary than a AR.

What if they stay restricted , but we can get a transport permit to hunt with it.
I know I will be hunting for 3 week ends in a row at a specific location or area. Maybe I could get a transport permit to go hunt with my AR 10 ?

Maybe this kind of law modification is more Doable than switching back to unrestricted.

In the end it's not for plinking it's for hunting. So maybe a hunting transportation permit

they need to issue an ATT that allows a restricted to be used anywhere it is legal to discharge a firearm.

Never say never.
Duke Nukem Forever is gonna be released next year... remember that.
For all my geek brothers and sisters on CGN, you know what I'm talkin about.

Never is a long time...
The Roman Empire was never supposed to crumble either.
It took a while but it did eventually crumble.
A little hope goes a long way.:)

We will probably not see it in our lifetime.
But for the sake of future generations we have to fight tooth and claw.

We should keep fighting that the AR-15, which is NOT a variant of the M16, should not be restricted.

The Ar-15 platform is the modern day hunting rifle. It will eventually be accepted as a hunters choice. More and more younger and older people are wanting to buy the so called black rifles instead of the classic bolt or lever hunting rifle. If I was a person who didn't know much about guns, would I really know the difference between the RA XCR or the AR-15, other then it is black and tactical looking? The more people see hunters out in the field with RA XCR's or CZ858's, the more they are going to accept it as a hunting rifle instead of an assualt rifle.

could the govt not use an order in council to reverse the restricted category of the ar platform. Thats how it got there in the first place was it not?

Conservative majority and abolishing the long gun registry first. Then we can worry about AR15's and FAL's. If the Liberals get into power again gun owners will be in a whole new world of trouble. If you own a gun and you vote Liberal (or NDP for that matter)...you are literally voting away our sport.

And more importantly, voting away our means to self defence and therefore our right to security of person
