Considering that the present provisions exempt we few antique owners from registration I can hardly see how they are going to know that any of us have any...excepting, of course, this post

Really they do not have a leg to stand on if they dont know who has the guns in the first place...strictly the registered guns.

This thread points this out quite well I think :D

Even if the libs Won! God i hope not
we just dont do squat tell them to EAT CAKE :D

I could say worse but it will just get deleted.

I agree with Peckerwood How can you find unregisterd guns That arnt considered firearms under the curent legislation, Unless used in a drive by.

same as all the guys who said EAT CAKE on the long gun registry and never registerd squat. they the CAKE eaters will never find them guns.

I think ammunition and supplies will be the big problem. Obviously time to start stocking up on things like cartridges (ie empty brass) because they are the hardest things to reproduce. Guns are less of a problem because they can always be built in basement workshops.

Good point Mooncoon I just bought 1000 pistol primers last week :D
Unique is great for smokeless loads in antique revolvers, And people use it in shotgun loads to so that powder should still be available

But im Voteing CP thats the real way to win this fight lets hope ONT doesnt vote them Lieing Steeling Liberals in again.
Or we can always seperate hey you think King Ralph is gona disarm Alberta, i doubt it.

They will ban all "handguns" even if it is a non-restricted one. They have intent to ban ALL handguns and pistols.

Yeah. no mention of any Classes, or anything. so if all handguns are banned, then the next time you go to the range with yiour antique and get pulled over they will confiscate and arrest you.. Don't think for a minute that the Liberals will give you a pass because your handgun is old.. they want them all!!!

What makes you think i shoot my Antiques at the range :D

If gang bangers can walk around a city all day with a glock in there pants and not worry about the cops why would i give a rats ass about some cop around here.

Hi sir hows it going today got your seat belt on have a nice day eh!

Thats the extent of my contact with the cops here in 10 years.

I dont wear baggy pants and lurk around the local store trying to sell drugs maby thats why the local cops treat me like a normal person here

They Want them all.

I want a million dollars tomorrow!! dont mean im gona get it :D

I have to agree with Dingus here...the police obviously do not have special magic powers of clairvoyance to know who has and who does not have a handgun...they cannot enforce what they cannot see.

Fact remains here that this will probably limit or stem access to legally acquired antiques for import...I guess we will see if they get in and change the legislation regarding the SOR 98 464 or not.

I am still crossing my fingers for a CPC majority...polls shows that the latest move by the Libs has actually backfired and their popularity in Ontario has dropped by 5 points...as long as they keep saying stupid stuff then it might be just that easy to get in.

The last few elections alwasy had the Libs painting the CPC as "scary"...now he has to actually campaign on his values and saying the CPC is scary obviously isn't good enough.

Please don't get in the frame of mind that this does not affect you. First it's my handgun, then my shotgun, rifles, mine and your black powder and crossbow ect. In the eyes of a city dweller there is no need for a firearm what so ever. Even if you do think handgun's should be banned remember we are all gun onwers and this will affect you some time. Please stick together

Sure, it could. They want collectors to turn in their guns to be destroyed, so if you were ever caught with an antique handgun in your collection beyond whatever amnesty period they propose (ie if you were robbed, or had a fire), you'd be prosecuted as a common criminal.

I phoned CFC today there a little freaked. And are truning on Martin like rats on a sinking ship.:D

Im not saying im gona lay back and not fight this cause i got antiques im gona fight and im not gona surender nothing to the dicks. No mater what:mad:

Throw me in Jail the hell with em if i had a restricted revolver my stance would be the same.

Im not gona let some millionaire shipping tycoon tell me all of a sudden im a crimnal cause i wont give him my guns blow me Martin and your Liberal Hacks

We should turn over all money ,if any , from the liberal smash and grab tactics into a whole new determined flintlocks shooters across the nation , and blaze away :D another beginning once all modern guns are clawed away . And so we start over:) I really like those in SIR that would work for me. Forget the name , sweet though. But gotta get this gun thing more secure for our kids.

All this started with a Ruger Mini 14 in Montreal, and escalated from there. Well to answer your question, and make you think......Ruger Mini 14's were never BANNED OR RESTRICTED to this very day!

I'm thinking along the lines of shootinblanks post. First the hand guns, then rifles, cross bows, long bows etc. There will always be a segment of the population that would have ALL weapons banned, period, and the sport of shooting, hunting, and eating of meat, etc.... They won't give up! When handguns are gone they'll just move on to the next riteous #####. If they represent a significant portion of the population, the votes that can be garnered will again be measured. This is latest liberal tactic has everything to do with the votes that can be garnered with this election ploy. Whether you own a hand gun or not, WAKE UP! because you and your gun or bow will be next. Fight the fight, dig your holes.

Remember that the Liberals are using Australia as a guide. The Australians banned a bunch of handguns that included antiques. Will the Liberals/NDP go after antiques? Bet on it.

Those that classify as Antique status though are not required to be registered or have the owner licenced according to the Law...so how would they know who had them after the ban?

Answer...they dont now, nor will they afterwards...much the same with the rifle registry where the Justice stats showed there were close to 18 million legally owned firearms back in 1975(imports-exports-destroyeds=18 million) yet today with the long gun registry how many do they have registered?

6-7 million?

Add to this the fact that close to 7 million firearms were imported during the time from 1975 to 1995 and that leaves approximately 18 million unregistered rifles, shotguns etc that are out there in private hands...they have no idea where they are for the simple reason that none of them are registered.

The same should apply to unregisterable antiques.

And even though it is illegal to own un unregistered rifle I dont see the Police services confiscating them by the millions...they dont know who has them either.

Simple

Yep thats right! Simple.

I know i lived and hunted in Australia for 8 years Before the ban registration what ever they call it.

And them Ausis got millions of guns on that Banned list that THEY never registered. MILLIONS!

They love guns down under and are all pretty much related to convicts so the registry is a joke there.

I got some nice guns burried there myself :DHaHAHAHA
