Will the Leupold Canadian Warranty Center repair Mark 4's?

I seem to recall that the Canadian repair facility in Okatokes does not have he equipment to do the Mk 4's and sends them to the main factory for work. Turn around time is still quite good as I understand it.

Nevermind, Rick over at ATRS just informed me they don't get involved with Mark 4's at all. I would be responsible for obtaining an export permit to ship it back to Leupold then getting an IIC in order to get it back. That would be a pain, wish they would make it easier.

Mlebler: Actually have done the whole process it really isn't too bad. Contact Leupold and they have an actual exports guy dedicated to this. I was able to do it and get my scope in for warranty (actually it was an improperly done up custom shop goof up). They will walk you through it and they take care of the export papers for the US side of the house.

Thanks guys, looking to spend my first 1000+ on a scope and want get it right. Will be going with the Leupold for now because of the lighter weight and lighter price tag than the NF. Maybe one day I'll get the NF......How are you all liking your Mark 4's? I got the 8.5-25X50mm model, should be here soon....cheers!

If your Mark 4 fails, Korth Group (Leupold Canada) will give you a new replacement...end of story. There are so few problems with this line of scopes they can afford to give new replacement units. They are able to repair the scope in Okotoks but don't have the specific equipment to refill the scope with nitogen. Phil.

I've had 5 Mark4's that I've used for hunting and competition (at Prov and National levels) and they have all been super for me. Never a doubt about anything failing or not returning to where they should be. That's why I keep using them. I would love dearly to buy a NightForce or US Optics or Schmidt and Bender, but with 2 kids in University, it ain't gonna happen.

So for the time being, it's gotta be Falcon Optics for me and my price point. In the meantime, my sniper rig, still wears a Mark4 M1 LR/T duplex 4.5 x 14 x 50mm... it's also my earthpig hunting rifle.

Peace be to journey,
Barney
