Will the Sig M400 shoot steel cased ammo reliably?

I have read that steel cased ammo can have problems in some firearms.

I have an M400 in the mail and I am gathering ammo ... I seem to be able to find steel cased but not a lot of brass ...

I don't want to buy a bunch of the stuff only to find it won't function well.

Should be fine. Have shot 300rds of steelcased ammo on one session with my 516 and no issues . Have a spare extractor though and upgrade the extractor spring. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Extractor-Spring-Uprade-Kit-p/bcm%20extractor%20spring%20%203pack.htm

The steel cases are softer than the extractor, your rifle will be fine.
