Will these be ok?

I recently purchased an older Marlin 336, lovely looking rifle; but it came with a box of remington soft points. I was wondering if these would be safe to fire, or would I risk chainfiring?

dont put them in the tube, but if they chamber without hitting the rifling, should be good to go

(I assume you're talking 30-30 Win? - if so, I dont know of any factory loaded spizters - could be a box of handloads you got there...)

Yes it's 30-30; and I'm absolutely 100% certain they are factory loads.

I saw some at my local shop last weekend and they look pretty cool. Almost made me want to buy a 30-30 (again).

Sorry, I can't tell from the fuzzy pic and a aging monitor. If they are the semi-jacketed (lead top with a slightly rounded tip). Your good to go. My father in law has used them on his Marlin 30-30 for 40+ years.
