Just wondering if anyone has ever tried shimming the gas lock to get the new navy front sight tight. Haven't shot it yet...just wondering what you guys think before I give it a go. I Dremelled an old 45/70 Gov't brass...

Thanks for the reply Fire.

However, I am not putting the shim between the front band and the barrel shoulder.

Just wondering if this will introduce too much space (volume) in the gas system because the gas plug is "washered".

I've got mine shimmed between the gas cylinder and the front sight. Never had a problem with it.
