If you want to use Weaver, get a set of Weaver Tacticals. Only $50-60 and worth the savings in stress. I've used these over the years, but as has been stated, they tilt the scope. You have to start with the scope off center, and as you tighten these will twist the scope to on line. The problem comes in because you have to hope the scope is level at exactly the same point that the screws are at the proper torque. Too little cant and your crosshairs will move to far. Too much can't and they are off level in the other direction. Last pair of these I used, I tightened, untightened about 4 times trying to get the crosshairs level. Then one of the screws stripped out, so I garbaged the set, and put on some Weaver Tacticals
