Will you be getting the Browning 1911 in 380ACP?

Email sent !
This is the gun I've been waiting for . The 1911 .22 is a fantastic gun and the size is perfect for me . I'm even willing to overlook the horrid sights on it ( which I'm told the 380 has as well ), and preorder the 380 .
Excited .

I really like this idea. My other .380's have never been much more than single shots due to feeding issues. They are not 1911 types so this one should be smooth sailing. My LLama .22 works great. I am only speculating, but I think the felt recoil would not be much different than a full size 1911 in 9mm. The advantage would be for those with hands of Lilliputian dimensions. Still, this would be a great addition to the 1911 line.

.380 will be a great addition. But the slide to frame fit on this video sucks. I would be tentative to accept this fit on a cheap .22 but no way for a .380. Have a closer look at the slide to frame rail. I hope this is from a prototype build.

Unsure how desirable this pistol is to others, besides me - but I've been looking for a .380 pistol for a while and there is limited choice unless you go for a Makarov or Grand Power. This looks like a good option as it's in a proven 1911 design but at 85% the size and 4.25" barrel. I read that these are coming out next month but may be out already.

I'd be all over this, but I better get my hands on their .22 first to see whether I can even hold it!

That being said, I shot a fellows tiny little CZ somethingorother at the range once. I was surprised that it was only .32ACP. It was a ton of fun! No wonder it's doubly prohib... :(

This may be the thing, though - small gun, moderate calibre. Eager for reviews from the early adopters when they come in.

Very interesting pistol...

Czech CSA Skorpion Vz 61 machine pistol. Prohib as a handgun, but legal (restricted) as a short barrelled 'rifle'. A few vendors here sell them, along with the Serbian made copy - Zastava M84. They come in .32, .380 and 9mm. And yes, they are fun to shoot.

He probably meant a CZ70 or 83 pistol in 32acp. It's pretty tough to call a Skorpion "tiny".

Yes, it was an old gun. Looked like a cross between a 75 and a PPK. I forget the model, but it was very much a pocket pistol.

Whoot , put down my deposit today . Now I just have to be patient ( which I am NOT ) !
Thanks Gary .
I noticed on the invoice there was a space for CGN name , guess I should have mentioned I'm a member here ?

Got my deposit in, pretty excited for this one, hopefully be able to aquire enough mags so I can use it for pistol and 3 gun matches. The video says 7 Round mag but the specs say 8 so I hope they are 8 round mags

Good thing is we have some time to stock up on ammo .
Unfortunately , there is no 380 in stock in town as only Can. Tire sells pistol calibres ! Oh well , guess I'll be making more trips to the city between now and summer !

watched a vid on the net. looks like the mag holds 8rnds

If it's packaged like in the USA it should come with two mags as well . Gary said they will update me as info becomes more available . He did say there would be lots of spare mags available for those that want to purchase them so I'm happy about that .

Not trying to bust your good mood, but I don't know which shooting sport you plan to use it in. It is not allowed in IPSC. IPSC needs minimum 9x19. 380 is 9x17

Sorry Dude.

Forgive my ignorance but I presume this is a blowback, not an actual Browning design? A mini-1911 in the true sense of the word would be quite neat, a blowback pistol styled like a 1911 isn't terribly exciting for me.

I have shot blow back 380's and they are nasty. Sharp bite to the recoil. 9x19 in locked actions are way more pleasant to shoot. That said were in luck. The Browning 1911-380 is a locked action. One of the few locked action 380's. Few different locked action 380 designs exist.
